LUMO Labs reappointed as fund manager by RVO for second TTT.AI pre-seed fund to accelerate Dutch AI spin-offs.
Press release December 18, 2025
EINDHOVEN, the Netherlands, December 18, 2025 — Following strong results of the initial TTT.AI pre-seed fund, Dutch venture capital fund LUMO Labs announced its appointment by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) as fund manager for an €8M TTT.AI successor fund for pre-seed investments in promising Dutch artificial intelligence spin-offs. LUMO Labs was put forward as fund manager by a national alliance of ten knowledge institutes and 15 affiliated partners. The TTT.AI fund will be managed as a subsidiary fund of LUMO Labs’ 100 mio euro main fund.
The TTT.AI program is part of RVO’s broader national technology transfer effort and promotes collaboration between knowledge institutions, investors, and entrepreneurs to bring technologies to market faster with financial support and expert guidance.
LUMO Labs’ reappointment marks the start of a new investment period in artificial intelligence spin-offs from Dutch knowledge institutes. The fund manager will provide funding and expertise for the accelerated development and commercialisation of innovative AI technology.
“As pointed out in the recently published Wennink-Rapport, it is more important than ever to translate the ground-breaking research results in the field of Artificial Intelligence within Dutch knowledge institutions, into real-life products, services, and infrastructure. This is crucial for our competitiveness and safety, now and in the future. We are extremely happy to be appointed as fund manager of the new TTT.AI fund to continue our early-stage investments and entrepreneurial guidance of spin-outs in the field of AI,” says Andy Lurling, Founding Partner at LUMO Labs.
Since its launch in 2019, the broader TTT programme has contributed to the creation of more than 150 startups, several of which are part of the LUMO Labs portfolio. These include Autoscriber, HULO, Aiosyn, Linksight, Healthplus AI, Beyond Weather and Surgical Reality – companies applying AI to fields such as healthcare, data privacy, energy, and deep-tech innovation.
“The TTT scheme has been an absolute game-changer for HULO. Without this €400,000 investment, we would not have been able to develop our AI technology for leak detection in water pipes to the level it is today. In a world where 30% of clean water is lost to leaks, our technology enables water utilities to drastically reduce these losses, without costly infrastructure changes. The TTT scheme has not only supported us financially, but also given us access to the strong Dutch innovation and AI ecosystem. With this solid foundation and our recent additional seed round of €2.3 million, we are ready for further international expansion,” states Robbert Lodewijks, CEO & Co-founder of HULO
“Less than 1% of medical AI innovations make it into practice. Thanks to the TTT scheme, we were able to bridge that gap more quickly: not only with financing, but also by coming into direct
contact with medical centres. That accelerates our impact on better surgical care and fewer complications,” adds Bart Geerts, Founder of Healthplus.ai
The new TTT.AI alliance consists of 10 knowledge institutions, including the University of Amsterdam, Eindhoven University of Technology, Amsterdam UMC, Vrije University, Radboud UMC, Utrecht University, Utrecht UMC, Delft University of Technology, TNO, Wageningen University & Research, investor LUMO Labs, and more than 15 affiliated partners.
