Health Force raises €4.2M to scale AI agents for hospital operations across Europe

Barcelona, Spain, 17 September 2026 – Health Force, the European HealthTech startup building enterprise-grade AI agents for hospital operations, has raised €4.2 million in seed funding. The round was led by LUMO Labs, with participation from Step Venture, Next Tier Ventures, Target Global and Calm/Storm.

Hospitals across Europe face a widening capacity gap: demand for care rises every year, while the people who do the operational work behind it are increasingly difficult to hire. Backlogs build, and processes can take weeks to complete. Health Force closes this gap with enterprise-grade AI agents that work alongside hospital operations teams and autonomously manage end-to-end processes under human supervision. The technology now runs hospital-insurance operations end-to-end completing prior-authorisation checks, claims processing, regulatory reporting and other operational tasks, handling the work behind more than 200,000 patient cases a year at Italy’s leading hospitals.

Built on a deterministic-first platform, the agents’ actions are fully traceable. The technology helps hospitals reduce backlogs, increase operational capacity and complete processes that previously took weeks within a single day. Three out of four cases are completed without a human touch; the remaining case is prepared by the agent and handed to staff with exactly what needs checking, cutting the time it takes to resolve.

Headquartered in Barcelona, with an operations hub in Milan, Health Force is already working with some of Italy’s largest private hospital groups, including Humanitas and Gruppo San Donato. Its platform is also used for hospital quality reporting in Portugal.

Health Force will use the funding to expand its catalogue of agents into additional hospital workflows, including quality reporting, clinical-trial operations, and resource optimization. The company will also grow its engineering and delivery teams and expand into Germany, France and Spain.“Every hospital in Europe will eventually run its operations this way,” added Haddad. “The only question is when, and who builds it.
